In addition, zoning information and assistance is provided to residents, law and real estate offices, and potential purchasers, in consultation with a Planning Consultant. The position shall provide support to the CAO/Treasurer in achieving both financial and administrative goals of the Corporation, through developing, implementing and monitoring financial controls and procedures related to bank and receivable reconciliations and billing and collection of taxation, drainage and other revenue and receivables. Prepares operating and capital budget, capital assets and PSAB accounting and regular financial reporting to Council. Acts as Township’s internal auditor and assist with preparation of annual external audit working papers and documentation. Will train sufficiently to provide backup for other Finance department roles during vacations and absences. Role will include ad hoc financial research and analysis and other duties as required. A recognized accounting degree is preferred with 3-5 years’ experience in municipal finance and a commitment to continuing education. Familiarity with municipal accounting systems and completion of municipal specific certification programs preferred. The successful candidate must be proficient with computer applications, in particular related to accounting, banking and data manipulation and requires good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and excellent organizational and time management skills.
